WOW is a major snooze fest for me. I've tried to get in to that game 3 times, and I always end up quiting. I don't think its so much the grind, because Guild Wars has grind and I do okay. I think it has to do with the traveling system, it seem like you have to walk for hours to get anywhere, and forget about quickly meeting up with members of a guild for some quick pvp or fun missions, it just takes to long to do things. I'm surprised that WOW is still selling as good as it is, I just don't get that game.

"In my case i have to say that im a dual player i have both but i really spent more time in GW than wow, since factions came out there are hole weeks that i dont log in WOW." -- you and me both.
When Prophecies first came out, I thought of it as "we're number two, but we try harder." But with the advent of Factions and news that more chapters are on the way, the GW Series is no longer number two. And ANet is still trying harder!

funny games like wow and lineage.. guys at college just setup servers- max out thier stats and get everything they want and run around till they get bored.. move on to other games that are fun like oblivion.. least there's some skill involved in gw even though it's instanced- the gear and level does'nt make the player- the arguements in this game are way different I noticed.. it's more along the lines of you suck- he sucks (but I gotta admit runescape had a pretty interesting pk system with the woods and levels back in the classic- was'nt anything deep but alot of fun).. least this game's not dang look at that guys edong armor he's level 100 with booty buster sword it's so played out once you've done it- can't beat the no fee

I just paid 40$ for WoW here in North Dakota. I bought it because GW factions was only good for a couple months.

I played lineage 2 for awhile when I felt burnt out on gw and needed to find something else to occupy my time for awhile. I never really got into it hardcore like but enjoyed just loading up and doing whatever I put on my agenda. Also the Fem dark elf is very easy on the eyes imo. In the end though I got back into gw and have continued to enjoy it since then.

I Hate WoW, especially the Devs for it. I Used to check out their forums when I still played the game. In one, someone made a thread asking for an option to make shoulder pads invisible like the helmets and cloaks, because the shoulder pads in that game all look so rediculous. There were, at the time, over 500 pages, roughly 20 people per page, all aggreeing completely with this idea. Then a Blizzard Rep posted saying how they would never add that, because they feel the shoulders are important to the art (or something like that) of the game, and that they like the mood that everyone having those shoulder pads adds to the game. Basically, he said F*** you, it's our game and we have more fun when we see everyone in those rediculous shoulders.
God I hate them...

Ok, so you hate WoW because you interpreted a Dev's comment to be all "Whatever, chumps" when it was really just him saying... "No." Anyone with any real reasons to hate WoW around, or just hypersensitive morons? ;o

Well first, the problem with what that Rep said is that EVERYONE wanted the change, and they still refused to even allow the choice because they like the way giant shoulder pads look. Second, thatisn't the only reason I hate WoW, that was just an example.
Here's another one: Everything looks like a cartoon!!
Here's one more: The only game I have ever played with more grinding than that piece of crap, is Lineage II. Grinding is NOT fun. You're basically paying them to steal your time.

16 million users in WoW??? I hardly doubt that, im mean cmon, you sure that isnt 16 million CHARACTERS? Prove it to me, unless I do it myself in two seconds, that that is the userbase for WoW worldwide. I just have no faith in that number.

At the start of the year, Blizzard announced a worldwide subscriber base of 5.5 million, surpassing a significant milestone by reaching in excess of 1 million users in Europe, which was four times higher than previous estimates of the size of the entire European MMORPG market.

Rounds out to about 6 million not 16 million.
